For the seventh year, Fredericksburg, located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, will be celebrating “the arts” on the weekend of November 9 -11, 2007.

Over 200 local, regional and national artists will be represented at invitational art shows, gallery events and open studios at locations around Fredericksburg and Gillespie County --- most with no admission fee.  A major antiques show will be held at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds as well.

Plus the annual Art Past Dark Gala, this year themed “An Evening in the South Pacific,” will be held on Saturday evening (November 10) from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at The Hangar Hotel.  The gala raises fund to supplement art programs in elementary, middle and high schools in Gillespie County.  Guest will have the opportunity to participate in live and silent auctions of art to raise needed funds.  Over $10,000 from last year’s gala was distributed to local schools this past May.
